True confessions time: I was given access to an event not open to the public. I received a glass of red wine, which probably costs upwards of $14 on a normal night, and had my same glass refilled. (Always thinking about the environment.)

The gift bags were all gone by the time I left, so nothing to worry about there. At the event, fashion bloggers Sara Zucker and Of A Kind’s Erica Cerulo explained to me how the Ann Taylor Spring 2011 collection (“This is not your mother’s Ann Taylor”) fits within current fashion trends: all earth tones — mauve, beige and several other colors I couldn’t exactly name — and lots of smooth textures, such as silk. I was not charged for the consultation. OK, FTC? Please do not fine me $11,000 for posting this.
