Jerry Brown’s YouTube ad that pairs identical statements from Meg Whitman and (unpopular) Governor Schwarzenegger has been redone as a “Director’s Cut.” That must be a first in viral political videos. It’s certainly a powerful ad.

Caroline McCarthy had a good piece on CNET last week about viral political ads, and how they differ from those that run on TV — in fact, I am quoted in it a couple of times. YouTube politics: A quest for victory or notoriety?
