Romney staff is holding children hostage at a frostbitten rally right now, according to NY Times reporter Michael Barbaro and USA Today’s Jackie Kucinich.

Is this for real?
It’s for real, but there’s a bit more to the story. Barbaro’s and Kucinich’s Twitter feeds both clarify that this was a security decision, not about maintaining crowd numbers, and that Secret Service and volunteers were also involved. Still, sounds like a mess.
